Jay Karandikar operates Jay’s Workspace Tools as a private integration for Google accounts he owns or is authorized to manage. This policy describes the integration’s handling of Google user data.
With account authorization, the integration accesses Google account identity information; Gmail messages, metadata, labels, and requested attachments; and calendar information, events, and attendee details. It uses this information to answer questions, find and summarize information, prepare communications, organize email, and manage schedules as directed by the authorized operator. Sending email requires approval of the message and recipients.
The integration runs on the operator’s Mac using the Google Workspace CLI and an account-selection wrapper. Depending on which assistant is used, relevant content and instructions are transmitted to OpenAI through Codex or to Anthropic through Claude Code to carry out the requested task. Assistant providers process and retain that information according to the applicable account settings and service terms. Messages and calendar invitations are transmitted to their intended recipients when the operator authorizes those actions. Data is not sold or used by this integration for advertising.
Google data must be used only for the requested productivity features. The integration is intended to be used with assistant settings or service terms that exclude Google user data from training generalized AI models.
OAuth credentials and token caches are stored in separate account folders on the operator’s Mac and encrypted by the Google Workspace CLI. The file-based encryption key is also stored locally and protected by filesystem permissions. Google passwords are entered directly into Google’s authentication flow and are not stored by this integration.
Retrieved information may also remain in assistant conversation histories, local session records, downloaded attachments, or documents and notes intentionally created during a task. There is no single automatic deletion period across these locations. These records remain until removed by the operator or deleted under the relevant service’s retention rules. Backups may retain copies according to their own settings. Original email and calendar records remain in Google unless deliberately changed or deleted.
Access can be revoked from the Google Account’s third-party connections settings. Local account credentials can also be removed. Revoking access prevents further authorized access through that connection but does not automatically erase previously saved conversations, downloads, notes, or backups. Those copies must be managed separately. For questions or deletion requests concerning this integration, contact jay@jaykarandikar.com.
Jay’s Workspace Tools’ use and transfer of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
